HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), revealed a preview of some of the major surprises awaiting audiences in the upcoming edition of Riyadh Season. He noted that this year’s edition will be unique and packed with global events, along with rich Saudi, Gulf, and Syrian content.
In a video shared on the social platform X, HE emphasized that Riyadh is currently experiencing an unprecedented entertainment movement by hosting the Esports World Cup—the world’s largest esports tournament—with prize pools exceeding $70 million and drawing widespread international attention. He confirmed that Riyadh Season activities are continuing at a steady and exciting pace every week.
Alalshikh also spoke about the launch of the highly anticipated Riyadh Comedy Festival, set for late September. Earlier today, part of the lineup was revealed, which includes more than 50 comedians and actors from around the world—many of whom are followed by millions on global platforms such as Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime. He confirmed that fans will have the chance to see these international stars live on stage at Boulevard City.
He further noted that the upcoming Riyadh Season will feature a strong presence of Saudi and Gulf content, in addition to a notable participation of Syrian artists in theatrical performances and concerts. The season will also include world-class events such as large-scale music concerts, football matches, boxing bouts, UFC fights, and WWE shows—highlighted by the anticipated “Royal Rumble” event in January.
HE concluded by hinting at more surprises to be announced soon, including collaborations with global star MrBeast, and the return of the “Six Kings Slam” tennis tournament, which brings together the top six players in the world to compete for the largest prize in the history of the sport—following the tremendous success of last year’s edition.
