Chris Tucker, Pete Davidson and Aziz Ansari among latest names confirmed for Riyadh Comedy Festival

HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has today announced another set of leading standup acts that will feature at the first Riyadh Comedy Festival at Boulevard City in Saudi Arabia’s capital city.

More than 50 of the best comedians around will come together in Riyadh from September 26 until October 9, for the biggest comedy festival in the world.

The latest names confirmed to perform during the two-week festival include award winning Hollywood actor Chris Tucker, best known for starring in the blockbuster Rush Hour movie franchise, Emmy-award winning Aziz Ansari, who co-created and starred in Netflix original series Master of None and will co-star in the upcoming film Good Fortune, Pete Davidson, a Saturday Night Live alumni and creator and star of Peacock’s critically-acclaimed comedy Bupkis, Tom Segura, best known for Netflix specials Ball Hog, Disgraceful, Mostly Stories, Completely Normal and his new Emmy-nominated show Bad Thoughts, popular podcast Bad Friends hosts Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee, Emmy nominated writer Nimesh Patel, a favourite on the late-night circuit, Sam Morril, who last year released his fifth special You’ve Changed on Amazon Prime, and well-known UK personality and actor Omid Djalili, who has performed his standup shows all over the world.

Also revealed to appear at this year’s Riyadh Comedy Festival are podcast and TV host Chris Distefano, who recently released an hour-long special It’s Just Fortunate with Jimmy Kimmel as executive producer, Mark Normand, whose Netflix special Soup To Nuts has been a staple in the streamers’ Top Ten since its July 2023 premiere, Hannibal Buress, who has written for Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock and has had a number of Comedy Central specials, Louis C.K., a six-time Emmy Award and three-time Grammy Award winner and star of the Peabody Award winning shows Louie and Horace and Pete, and Jimeoin, known for his forensically observed comedy of the absurd and the Everyman.
